Of course, all we have are artist’ conceptions of Noah’s ark …

There exists a huge amount of evidence that Noah’s worldwide flood really happened. All life whether human or animal was killed by the flood with the exception of those who were in the ark God had Noah to build. That ark saved all who were in it.

By the way, did you know that according to the ship building industry the measurements or dimensions of the ark were the most ideal that they could be for stability and safe passage afloat. Ships of those dimensions are most seaworthy. Ship builders have used those dimensions to build many ships over the centuries. The ark measured 450 feet long, 75 feet wide and 45 feet high. It had 3 decks or levels built inside of it and a roof built over it with about 18 inches high of an open area under it. Some of the artists definitely did not get this part right.

Yes, we all came from Adam and Eve, but we also came from Noah and his family. Most of us never think of that, but it is true. The world started all over with only 8 people. In 2025 we have an estimated 8.19 billion people in the world. We have come a long way, baby. Of course, there are those at work to greatly reduce that number … to kill off or eliminate 90 % of the world population. They thought they would achieve it by the so-called Covid vaccine, but there were millions of us who knew what they were up to and we rejected getting the “death jab” … thus messing up their plan. All of that is a different story. Yes, the ark saved those who were in it.

God has promised never to destroy the world again by flood. Consequently more arks are not needed. But God did promise eternal destruction in hell for the earth’s inhabitants who reject the salvation He alone offers. God being loving and just offers a 2nd ark to those who choose to get aboard and be saved from the destruction to come.

The picture below is probably about the most accurate artist drawing of Noah’s Ark. This actually a full size replica in Williamstown, Kentucky. It is a museum people can go to. I doubt if the inside is built accurately. Anyway, it is called Ark Encounter.

God’s Word says that in the last days it will be just like it was in Noah’s time with violence everywhere and most people doing their own thing with total disregard for God in their lives. God took action then and He will soon take action again because of the sin He sees in our lives. No, it won’t be another worldwide flood. God tells us this present world is reserved for fire.

None of us have to be here and deal with this judgement which is forthcoming. We can get into God’s 2nd ark and be safe. God’s 2nd ark is not limited in size and capacity like Noah’s ark was. It was clear full … just big enough to hold all that God purposed to have on it.

There was no propulsion system or sails on Noah’s ark. All it could do was float around. If there were any currents they would take the ark along. The ark had a door in the side so that they and the animals to come could get aboard. Once every animal and person was aboard the door had to be closed and the outside of the door as well as the inside had to be sealed with calking (pitch). Since everybody was inside the ark God was the One who applied the pitch to seal off the outside of the door from leakage. Noah and/or his sons sealed the inside.

They say that drowning to death in water is relatively painless but being burned alive by fire is a horrible agonizing way to die. I sure would not want to die this way … only to face an eternity in the lake of fire where there will weeping and gnashing of teeth with no relief as those there will not burn up … just experience the horrible pain and suffering forever. Dying in a fire or any other way the one thing we are guaranteed is having to stand before God in judgement as God’s Word says that it is appointed unto man once to die and after that comes the judgement.

When is the earth going to be destroyed by fire, you ask? I don’t know. The bible doesn’t tell us when. It simply warns us and tells us to be ready. If we knew when such and such is going to happen than we would tend to procrastinate putting off seeking God until we know the end is about to happen. Since we don’t know it makes it very dangerous to procrastinate. If we are not ready to meet God and suddenly we find ourselves face to face with Him we would have a serious problem and nothing we could do about it as our time as well as opportunities expired. God’s Word tells us to “Seek God while He may be found”.

3 “Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. 4 They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.” 5 But they deliberately forget that long ago by God’s word the heavens came into being and the earth was formed out of water and by water. 6 By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed. 7 By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.” 2 Peter 3:3-7

The entire world laughed at Noah and mocked him and his family. They did not heed his warning. They did not enter into the ark and get saved. When it started to rain and the water started to rise then they wanted to get inside the ark, but it was too late then. The door was closed and sealed … not to be opened until the water had receded. Nobody was laughing then. They all perished dying in their sin. All of the animals that were not aboard the ark died as well.

In case you don’t know it, God’s 2nd ark is Jesus Christ. Those who are “in Christ” will be saved as their sin is forgiven and they exchanged it for God’s righteousness which greatly pleases God. Call on Him today while He may be found. Don’t be a mocker! You will surely perish dying in your sin. We all need God’s 2nd ark, Jesus Christ.
