The phrase “every tongue will confess” refers to the biblical teaching that all people will ultimately acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord, as stated in Philippians 2:10-11. You may not believe this. You may say … “Ha, not me! No way, Jose! I don’t believe in this Jesus you speak of and I want nothing to do with Him.” I am telling you now … you have don’t have a choice … you are powerless … it is going to happen. Everyone is going to make this confession. God has said so.

Yes, indeedy! It will happen. It is guaranteed. But I am here to tell you that it is much better to do so now than then. Those who will be forced to say it later will be lost in their sins and will die in their sins. And the wages of sin haven’t changed. Sin in our lives brings God’s judgement upon us and the sentence of hell … eternal damnation in the Lake of Fire where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. God offers us a way of escaping this judgement. All He requires of us is repentance of, acknowledgement and confession of sin in our lives and asking for the forgiveness of Jesus as Savior. We must put our faith and trust in Jesus to come into our hearts and lives to save us. We must receive Him as our Savior and then start living for Him in obedience. Then you will want to confess Him as Lord of lords and King of kings. And you will readily do so each and every day in appreciation and thankfulness for Who He is and what He has done in your life. Don’t wait until you are forced to admit the truth. It will be too late to avoid your certain fate then. Come to Jesus now while you can. Today … right now … if you hear His voice calling out to you, do not harden your heart. You may not have another chance. None of know what the next moment holds. This might be the last opportunity you will have. God loves you and doesn’t want you to end up in hell. He demonstrated His love for you when He chose to lay down His life dying a cruel agonizing death on a cross to purchase your forgiveness … paying the price to redeem (by back) your soul. He did this while you were still a sinner … in the very act of sinning.
