Many years ago this song came out sung by Sandi Patty and Larnelle Harris. I had just gotten saved and when I first heard this song I found it to be so powerful. I can remember riding my bicycle and listening to it. I was floating along on a cloud so it seemed.
A few others have recorded it as well …
I could go on and on, but these will do. Powerful songs like this don’t come along all that often. What makes it powerful was the subject matter … Jesus rising from the dead and His followers finding out that He was no longer in the grave. That was followed by many who actually saw Him.
Jesus ascended into Heaven where He is seated at the right hand of His Father. No eye has ever actually seen God and lived to tell about it. The phrase “blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed” comes from John 20:29, where Jesus speaks to Thomas after His resurrection, emphasizing the value of faith without physical evidence. This teaching highlights the spiritual blessing for those who believe in Him without having seen Him directly. I have never seen Him with my physical eyes, but I most definitely have seen Him with my spiritual eyes. And so have many millions of others.
Are you among them? You can be. He is only a prayer away awaiting to be invited into your heart and life. That is how to get your name written down in His Book of Life. You will never regret this decision and action on your part. And it is on your part as Jesus has already done everything He could do … everything He needed to do to save you. Now it is up to you. It is your choice … your decision … your move.
