GOD’S ECONOMY

Did you know that God has His own economy. The economies of the world may plummet and fail, but God’s economy is not effected. His Word tells us that He owns the cattle on a thousand hills. That is just a way of saying that He is rich, very rich. Even when our nation’s economy is down and weak His economy is flourishing. He is able to bless us at any time. He can meet our needs at all times. He can cause men to give unto us … even if they don’t want to. He is not limited. He is the God of the impossible.

It is comforting to know that God is well able to take care of us and meet our every need at all times regardless of what is going on around us. Not only can He but He will always do what He says. He is dependable and trustworthy. I may not be a billionaire and it is probably a good thing as I may not be able to handle it. My Father is very rich and He supplies me with all the money I NEED. And that is the way I like it … prefer it.

Do you remember in childhood when many kids often proclaimed “my dad can beat your dad”. Well, I am pleased to be able to say that my heavenly Father is greater than all and nobody can beat Him … not even the devil as powerful as he is … which the devil will soon discover as just one angel sent by God handles him throwing him into the bottomless pit where he will remain for a thousand years. That will be a glorious day!

Have you ever noticed that the things and ways of satan are just the opposite of those of God? You can definitely see that when comparing the Muslim religion to Christianity. What a contrast! Satan is all about killing, stealing, and destroying. God is all about blessing people, providing for them and building up. Satan wants us suffering, broke, in despair. God wants us well and flourishing, rich (in the things of God in particular) and joyful. These things are all a part of God’s economy. It isn’t just about money. God gives. Satan takes away.

The truth is … EVERYTHING we have in this life comes from God. The problem is we think we did it … we earned it … we bought it with money we earned working. But even your job he provided. And certainly the strength and the health He gives us. Every breath, every heartbeat He gives us. Everything in this world belongs to Him. He is our Creator and our Provider. Every good gift comes from above. He graciously shares it with us. That house you live in, that car you drive, those clothes you wear, that money you get every payday and that, if any, which you have managed to save, your spouse, your kids … absolutely everything is His … not yours or mine. He just lets us use it. He wants us to be good stewards with it. He would very much like for each and every one of us to acknowledge these truths. God deserves the glory and our gratitude.
