Most everybody loves a champion and cheer for them. There are all kinds of champions. There are champions of various sports, boxing, wrestling, auto, boat, motorcycle racing, and the list could go on and on. There is always someone who is the best at whatever it is they do. But when it comes to love there is only one undisputed champion. Now when I say love I am not talking about physical love making. I am talking about what is in the heart toward others. The bible speaks of 3 different types or levels of love. One is indeed the physical love making (sex). A second type is simply a strong feeling toward another where we like them a lot. The third is the love that God has for all of us. It is called “agape love”. There is only one champion of agape love. I love this song about that Champion …

Yes, He is the undisputed undefeated Champion of love. And He loves you more than anyone else … even more than your mother who bore you. He willingly went down for you and I. Yes, He took a fall … a fall with us in mind. Satan thought he had Him defeated by knocking Him down, but He got up. I said He got up and in full strength proved once and for all that He is the Champion … still undisputed and undefeated. His love can cover a multitude of sins. His reach reaches everywhere. No one can ever take His crown away.

Is He your Champion? He can be and He wants to be. For 2000 years He has held that title. No one can ever take His crown away. It is great to know we are on the winning side. Yes, I read His book and He retains His title until the end … actually forever as there is no end … not for Him anyway. He is the Champion of love. Oh, I just got to hear it again.

I think I am getting it out of my system so to speak. My prayer is that it is getting into yours. God wants to save you … He wants to keep you out of hell. He offers you a choice … heaven or hell. Without turning to the Champion we are all hell bound. He alone is able to deliver us from the devil’s grip. Oh, what a Savior He is.

He can be your Savior. Just call on His Name. He is listening for that call. He stands with open arms to welcome you home. Come join God’s family and say goodbye to the devil’s family. He is a loser and will take you down with him.

Turn to Jesus. That’s what matters. It is the most important thing in life. How tragic is would be to live one’s entire life and end up in hell. It is your choice.
