That has become a popular saying and sadly has lots of support. It literally means the annihilation of Israel … to totally destroy Israel so that she no longer exists. From the river means the Jordan River and to the sea means the Mediterranean Sea … the land in between once known as Palestine. Today it is known as Israel.

Do you know the history of the Arabs and the Jews? This horrific mess we see going on over in the Middle East is all because man did not obey God and did his own thing. God had promised Abraham a son thru his wife, Sarah. Both were quite old … well past normal child bearing years. Time was passing by and still there was no promised son. Sarah got the bright idea that she would have her hand maiden go to Abraham and allow them to make it happen … give Abraham a son. This certainly was not God’s plan nor His will. Sarah and Abraham really messed things up. Never the less God was good to that child and took care of him and his mother. He grew up, took a wife and had several children. This is how the Arab people were started. Right from the beginning they were a wild bunch … always fighting, always violent, always troublesome. They learned to hate the Jews and thruout history there has been nothing but war and unrest. That has never changed and Israel has suffered greatly because of this hatred. Of course, Satan is behind all of this. He delights in their evil and urges them on.

Just the last few years have they come up with this slogan “from the river to the sea” and it has really caught on thruout the world. Most of the world hates the Jews and stands against them. It is all driven by the devil. That is how it all got started and came to this. If Sarah and Abraham would have just trusted God and waited upon Him the Jews would not have this mess to deal with. Abraham eventually got the son God had promised him and great jealousy and trouble developed between these two half brothers … both sons of Abraham. Much of the Arab world is out to destroy Israel and they will do their best to accomplish it. However, God will not allow it to happen. When they make their move against Israel God will have to intervene and wipe them out.

Whose side are you on? Are you among the Jew haters? If you are, you place yourself in opposition to God and you curse yourself. The Jews are God’s chosen people, the apple or pupil of God’s eye. Those who stand against Israel are literally poking their finger in God’s eye. That sounds like a pretty dangerous and stupid thing to do I think.

Anyone who opposes Israel is an enemy of God. That includes so called Christians who have such thoughts and feelings toward Israel. Anyone who claims to love God will also love Israel. If they don’t, something is wrong … very wrong.

Now I want to say that not every Arab hates the Jews. Some Arabs have learned that if they behave themselves the Jews treat them good and readily accept them and the state of Israel gives them the same things they give the Jewish citizens. Yes, all they have to do is behave themselves and they can live peaceably and be blessed in the land of Israel. It is so simple and yet so hard. Satan is constantly at work to stir things up and cause problems. He is working hard in opposition to God but his days are numbered and he too will be defeated. God’s Word tells us what the future holds. Bible prophecy tells God will win out in the end and destroy His enemies. Some fascinating and exciting things lie ahead. Are you on the winning side or the losing side? You don’t want to be on the losing side. I assure you of this. You can change sides … while there is opportunity to do so. I warn you that there is coming a time when that opportunity will no longer be available. It will be withdrawn. Today is the day of salvation. You may not have a tomorrow!
