God’s Word says that God can do all things, but do you know there are some things God can not do? So is that a contradiction in the Word of God? No, not really. Let’s take a closer look at this …
In this message by pastor John Hagee there are seven things God cannot do.
1) He cannot be given a problem He cannot solve.
2) He will never leave you nor forsake you.
3) God will not allow his people to be ashamed.
4) He shares his glory with no one;
5) He will not break a covenant.
6) God does not change,
7) and He will not remember your sins when you confess them.
There are other things God can not do which were not covered in this video. God can not lie. God cannot commit an unloving act. God cannot act unjustly. God cannot do an unholy thing. In short, God cannot do anything which violates his nature.
And that answers the question about whether or not God can create a rock so big He can not move it. Even if He could He wouldn’t. Furthermore God tells us not to tempt Him.
And God says in His Word to His followers … that we can do all things thru Christ (His power). What is the most impressive thing you have seen with your eyes God do? The answer for me is probably witnessing Him raise someone from the dead. That is something you don’t see everyday.
I am so thankful that God is Who He is which includes His great love for me. He is an awesome God. There truly is no one else like Him. He reigns from heaven above. Our God is an awesome God! He is the God of miracles. He is the God that can not fail. Hey, that is another thing He can’t do. Nope, He can’t do anything that violates His nature. And He can not be defeated. I am glad that those things God can not do are all good things that He can’t do … that is … things that are all good things. Hopefully, you know what I am trying to say. God is good, all of the time … and all of the time, God is good!
