IT’S ABOUT TIME

IT’S ABOUT TIME

It’s about time … for what, you ask? Lots of things, I answer. According to bible prophecy it is about time for the very end of this Age we are living in. Man lives in a world where we are greatly effected by time. But do you know that time does not exist for God? That’s right. Time has no effect on God whatsoever. God has said in His Word that He is light. Albert Einstein told us that as something approaches the speed of light it grows infinitely large to where at the speed of light it expands to where it is everywhere all at once. Hmmm, do you suppose that is how God is omnipresent … everywhere all at the same time?

God is able to be anywhere anytime He wants to be while we are limited to here and now. The only exception to that is involving space travel where man can travel at a high speed and gain or lose a short period of time … in the seconds … from those on earth. That has been proven. If he could travel far faster … near the speed of light … that time difference could result in years instead of seconds. If a man traveled into space going fast enough he could return moments later and only have aged whatever amount of time he was actually gone while those on earth would have aged much more … years more. They could have even deceased.

We have 4 seasons in what is called nature. Those are set times which come and go year after year. We can’t set our watches by them, but we can be certain that Spring will follow Winter, and Summer will follow Spring, and Fall will follow Summer, and Winter will follow Fall.

Farmers and those that plant gardens know about the planting season and harvest time. Those too are set times each and every year. Sometimes there is bad or even good (above average) weather which effects things causing the time to change one way or the other.

Sometimes unforseen things like death or sickness or injury can effect the time of lots of things.

Of course, there are a lot of man made things which occur on a time schedule … things like Holidays, sporting events, work hours and schedules, vacation time, movie time, starting time, quitting time, breakfast/lunch and dinner time, showtime, etc. I am sure the list could go on and on.

Time is an interesting subject. Since we are bound by time our understanding and perspective is greatly effected. Time limits us. Time controls us. Yes, time greatly effects us. Each one of us is given just a certain amount of time … of life on earth. None of us have any way of knowing how much time we have. The average amount of time is 70 years, but some people live longer and some die sooner. We just don’t know.

If and when we buy a new car it comes with an owner’s manual. The manufacturer supplies the owner’s manual. When God created us He gave us an owner’s manual. It is commonly called the bible. It tells us everything we need to know to successfully go thru life and into eternity. It tells us that from childhood we have known or at least had the holy scriptures which are able to save us. Sadly most people ignore that book. They make excuses why they don’t read it, apply it, etc. Of course, they can do that. God is a gentleman and He won’t force His way onto anyone. But He does not want anyone to perish and end up in hell. Since none of us know when death will come in our lives it is very dangerous and foolish to ignore and reject the salvation He alone offers. If we die in our sin we will go to hell. We need to take care of the sin problem we each have. It separates us from God and makes us His enemy. That is certainly not His will for us. Since we are limited by time our opportunity could run out. Today may be the last opportunity you have to get saved. God knows, but we have no way of knowing.

Sin is a most serious matter. God is holy and can not allow and will not allow sin in His presence. Since we are all sinful He has to do something with us when we die. Hell was created for the devil and his demons … not for man … but God has no choice but to send us to hell when we die physically. And that is why Jesus came from Heaven to Earth to save us from that fate. But it is our choice.

Early on I mentioned the word dispensation. Thruout history man has lived in dispensations.

As you can see in the chart below we are far along in the time table … near the end of the dispensation of grace. Next up is the dispensation of the Kingdom when Jesus is back on earth and ruling over mankind.

Back to the subject of time … Now is the time to get saved. That is only sensible. It is the only sure thing we have. Yes, now is the time. Don’t put it off. Don’t delay. Besides your funeral could be tomorrow. Then it will be too late. You will be out of time. You don’t want to wait until the very end as it will be hell on earth so to speak for all who are alive then. It will be difficult to live then … especially if you are trying to fight against and avoid what is coming … which is the anti-Christ’s rule and forcing everyone to receive the Mark of the Beast in order to eat. Anyone who refuses will be executed by having their head chopped off. I would much rather get saved now and be a part of God’s family which God will remove from the earth prior to what is coming upon the earth in the near future.

We all have just so much time and God is in control of the clock … not us although we can greatly effect our own clock as to longevity of our lives shortening or lengthening our lives thru diet and exercise as well as our genes and how we conduct ourselves (the kind of life we live), but ultimately God is in control. He tells us that it is appointed (a certain time) unto man to die and after death comes judgement.

Yes, time is crucial to all of us. We don’t control it, but it may very well control us. And it really is about time for God to close out this dispensation. That means we are running out of time.
