There are probably lots of people who wish they could make a deal concerning death, but alas it is not to be. It doesn’t make any difference who you are, what you have accomplished in life, who you know, how important you are, how loved you are, how much you will be missed … or anything else. Death will happen to all of us sooner or later and when it does we are all on equal ground. And we all have and know the truth whether we want to believe it or not. We can’t change anything and certainly can’t make any deals as to what happens. It just doesn’t work that way. You might say … no one is above the law. We are without excuse!

It is a single file line we will stand in come judgement day. There will be no attorneys other than for the prosecution. He keeps a set of books and has all the evidence against us and has never lost a case. He also serves as defense attorney for those who have made things right with God in their lifetime. His very own blood is used as argument for the defense. And again, He has never lost a case. If He sees the blood applied to us He will pass over us to the next case. And all that “evidence” He had against you … well, it has all been tossed out … gone forever.

That is a deal He makes with those who do so while they are alive, but there are no deals for the dead. Their case is closed and the verdict is already announced … for over 2000 years so far it has been announced. All will be found guilty and face the same sentence … eternal damnation in the Lake of Fire. However, we all have a choice. We can face whichever sentence we prefer … eternal life with God in heaven or eternal damnation. Here comes the judge! And it ain’t Flip Wilson.
