They’re everywhere, they’re everywhere I tell you … false religions that is. Whatever one is looking for … it is out there. Some have been around what seems like forever. Others are fairly new in comparison. One online source says “As of 2014, there were approximately 4200 religions in the world” while another source says that there are 8748 false religions in the world. Regardless of the accuracy in reporting … there is a whole bunch of them and anyone who follows their teachings and practices are damned and have a lost soul. There are all sorts of names. One of the most common has “ism” added onto the name … the best known is Roman Catholicism. This false religion has probably led more souls to hell than any other one. There is also Adventism, Armstrongism, Mormonism, Taoism, and many others. Some false religions are cults. A cult is a religion that professes to be Christian, but the Jesus they embrace and teach is not the Jesus of the bible. They may have 90 % of what they say correct (in accord with the Holy Scriptures), but the other 10 % is deadly poison. Examples of cults are Jehovah’s Witness, Armstrongism, Mormonism, Scientology and 7th Day Adventism. Some false religions make no claim to be Christian … such as Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, Judaism and Satanism.

A person can not get to heaven by following any false religion. Religion is not of God. God hates any and all religions. Religion keeps people from the truth. It deceives and side tracks those who follow it.

There is only one source of truth and that is the Written Word of God … the Holy Bible or Holy Scriptures. God says that He honors His Word above His Name. And that both heaven and earth will pass away but His Word will stand forever. He further says that since childhood we have all known that the Holy Scriptures are able to save our souls.

Earlier I listed Roman Catholicism among the false religions of the world. That may surprise you, shock you or offend you … especially if you are a part of the Catholic religion. All one needs to do is study and know God’s Word and compare what it says to what the Catholic church says and practices. You will readily see that many things don’t line up with God’s Word. The Catholic church teaches that the Pope is the ultimate authority, but God says that His Word is the ultimate authority. The Catholic church believes that the Pope is divine … sent and ordained of God as His representative on earth while God’s Word is clear … the Pope is a mere man … nothing supernatural about him. The Catholic church believes that Mary is special … on the same level as Jesus … and is to be revered and worshiped just like Jesus. God’s Word says Mary, the mother of Jesus, is just a normal woman and, in fact, is a sinner just like everybody else and needs the Savior just like everybody else. The bible is clear … there is no such place as purgatory and that no man should be called Father as the only Father is God Himself. The office of Priest and the receiving of confessions does not exist in the bible. The bible teaches that there is only one mediator between man and God and He is Jesus Christ. I could go on and on pointing out things in the Catholic church which are taught or practiced which do not line up with the Holy Word of God. If you are Catholic you need to check all this out for yourself. Your eternal soul is at stake.

We are all accountable to God and will answer to Him someday at the very end of our lives. He gave us His Word to guide and help us. You and I are charged with knowing and following God’s Word and His commands. We will be without excuse when we stand before Him in judgement.

Satan is a liar and deceiver. He tries to keep us from the truth. He tries to get us to reject or ignore the truth. His mission is to kill, steal and destroy. He already knows that he is going to hell and he wants to take you with him. He knows Christianity is the only one where truth is found. God gave us Christianity. It is not a religion like all the others I have been talking about. It is all about relationship … a living relationship with God where He knows you and you know Him. If Satan can keep you from the truth he has accomplished his job (or goal) in your life. One of the most commonly used means to keep people from the truth is false religions.

Jesus said in John 16:1-3 …”1 I have said all these things to you to keep you from falling away. 2 They will put you out of the synagogues. Indeed, the hour is coming when whoever kills you will think he is offering service to God. 3 And they will do these things because they have not known the Father, nor me.”

If that doesn’t sound like the Muslim religion I don’t know what does. They are killing Christians nearly everyday and the world does nothing. The world doesn’t care. The world hates Christians and Jews. How sad! Thank God, He is keeping the books and will repay. And do you know that if you even think such thoughts embracing the slaughter of God’s Chosen People you are as guilty as those who actually carry it out. We will be judged for every thought, everything spoken and everything we have done. That should rattle and shake us. Are you awake now?
