There is no other book like it in the entire world. I am talking about the bible. It has been said that man (alone) could not have written the bible by himself if he wanted to … and he would not have written by himself if he could have. If you understand what the bible says you can understand that statement. It is the role of the Holy Spirit to draw men unto God. It is the written Word of God that brings understanding and knowledge of Who God is and tells us why we need to be saved. It presents the Savior to us and tells us to call upon His Name. It warns us of the consequences of rejecting the Savior and that the wages of sin is eternal damnation. Yes, the bible does all of that and more.

About 1/3 of the bible is prophecy. Prophecy is the foretelling of things which will happen in the future. Prophecy is a fascinating  subject. Other books contain prophecy. Some are fairly accurate and some are terribly inaccurate. But the bible is 100 % accurate. That is because the author of the bible is already present in the future and knows exactly what is going to happen. He is able to report it to us centuries before it comes to pass.

I personally am one who was won to the Lord by bible prophecy as are many others. By that I mean I came to believe in God and the bible as His written Word by the study of bible prophecy. It opened my eyes up proving to me that the bible is no ordinary book. There is a footnote in the Amplified Bible which addresses the probability of the fulfillment of prophecy. It is quite fascinating.  It covers what the mathematical calculations are concerning the fulfillment of several prophecies being fulfilled all within a 24 hour period. It staggers the mind.

You might be asking how can God do this? Well the answer is not complicated. He is omnipresent, that is He is everywhere all at once. He is physically present here today, yesterday and tomorrow. He is already there so he can tell us what will happen tomorrow or a 1000 or more years from now. You might ask how can He be everywhere at once? God tells us in His Word that He is light … the Light of the World in fact. Albert Einstein told us that as something reaches the speed of light it expands to the point that it is everywhere all at once.  As an illustration lets say we have a basketball full of air. If we were to throw it out into space and if we could throw it hard enough that it would continue to accelerate until it reached the speed of light it would expand bigger and bigger as it approached the speed of light … until finally it was so large that it occupied everyplace all at the same time. Of course, we know that it could only get so big before it exploded, but if it were possible this is what would happen. That may help us to understand things better.

Our God is an awesome God and He reigns in righteousness!
