Possibly one of the most significant miracles Jesus did while He lived among us was to resurrect His friend, Lazarus, from the dead. Lazarus had already been dead for 4 days and his body laid in a tomb. Jesus had been summoned while Lazarus was still alive, but Jesus took His time showing up. The people didn’t understand why Jesus had allowed Lazarus to die and they were disappointed that He hadn’t shown up to heal him preventing his death.

God has said in His written Word that His ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts. They are above ours! He has a purpose in all that He does. In this situation with Lazarus His purpose for being late is for His greater glory. He could have shown up earlier and simply healed Lazarus but which is the greater miracle?

Yes, even when Jesus was 4 days late He is still just on time! To God be all the glory!
