We hear about it all the time and we know they exist. I am talking about terrorists planted among us by countries such as Iran. They are real and they are dangerous … very dangerous. I hope we never find out how dangerous they are. Back in 1977 Hollywood made a movie called Telefon starring Charles Bronson, Donald Pleasence and Lee Remick. It is about this very subject only it has Russians as the plants. They had all been hypnotized or had some kind of mind control and instructed to carry out their assignments when they receive the signal to do so. They didn’t even know they were plants. They simply thought they were normal every day citizens of the U.S. living normal lives … normal until the telephone rings and they hear the words that trigger them … “and miles to go before I sleep“.
It is a good movie and gets you thinking and wondering. Only nowadays they have more deadly weapons such a nuclear suitcase/briefcase bombs. And our evil government in the past allowed them into our country. In this movie there were 51 of these foreign agents, but you can bet there are a lot more of them that are really here and waiting for their go signal. And I would not at all be surprised if they are from multiple nations … Russian, Chinese, and Muslim. Maybe even others. We certainly have lots of folks that hate us. More than once I have been chased down a street by upset residents of countries I was visiting in the Navy hearing them yelling at me “Yankee, go home!” I wasn’t doing anything wrong … just walking along sight seeing minding my own business … trying always to be a good ambassador for our nation and for the U.S. Navy. I have seen a whole lot of sailors and other U.S. military personnel who were not good ambassadors.
Yeah, we have many enemies. I can’t say that they don’t have reason. Many different times the U.S. has done wrong by others. Of course, it is rarely discussed and most of us know nothing about any of it. It would be nice if we lived in a world where we could just stay home and mind our own business, but we live in a dangerous world with some very radical people. If we don’t do what we can to control them we would probably have to deal with them here in our own country before this.
Iran is working hard to get nuclear weapons. We have delayed them, but we are not going to stop them. And you can bet they will use them when they do get them. And they too have miles to go before they sleep. One thing I hope we have learned is that they can’t be trusted.
There is one good thing that can be said about the situation in Iran … millions are converting to Christianity (a truly peaceful religion not like Islam). They have been deceived by Satan long enough. For the first time they are experiencing true freedom in Christ. I just hope and pray that they don’t take their new found freedom too far and get trapped in the bondage of sin. They have never known freedom before and Satan will do his best to take advantage of it. He is out to keep everybody in bondage to sin which he knows will defeat us and the result will be spending eternity with him in the Lake of Fire. That is why we need the Savior and the forgiveness of our sin. What we all need is Truth to Ponder.
