It suggests that neglecting knowledge can lead to dire consequences for individuals.” It is a willful act. We have all heard “… know the truth and the truth shall will set you free”.

BTW … Those were commandments God gave … not suggestions … and we have all broken all ten of them. God tells us that if we break just one we have broken all ten. And we have all broken at least one of them. So it is impossible to obtain salvation by our own efforts.

I have written about Willingly Ignorant before. To be fair, it is not ignorance, but rather a deliberate choice to ignore God’s commandments and pursue their own desires. That is ironic because God has told us that if we put Him first in our lives He will give us the desires of our hearts. God will allow us to do whatever we want as He created us with free will. However, He warns us that we reap what we sow … meaning there are consequences to our choices. That means we should choose wisely. Ignoring and rejecting God is not wise. In fact, it is stupid … very stupid. Stop, Drop and Roll doesn’t work in hell fire. And eternity is a long, long time to suffer extreme pain, anguish and torment. But it is our choice. If we prefer that fate over spending eternity with a loving God Who created us He will allow us to make that choice even though it breaks His heart.

Many people think that Christianity is just a bunch of do’s and don’ts we have to obey and that turns them off. But that is not true.

Our loving God offers us salvation but if we ignore it and reject it … well … I already said it. God has warned us. We are without excuse as no excuses are accepted. We all have an appointment which lies ahead of us and we will keep it. And we need to understand that if we haven’t already chosen God’s salvation we have already made our choice to reject it. Choose wisely … don’t be ignorant.
