WHY DOES GOD ALLOW EVIL?

I am sure you have heard it asked … maybe you have asked it yourself … why does God allow evil in this world? I mean if He is so powerful why doesn’t He just stop it … prevent it? And after all, isn’t He good and loving?

I would like to start out by saying yes, He is and He could. With God all things are possible. Now that doesn’t mean that He could create a rock so big that He could not move. But He can bring good out of any bad situation. He can use evil to bring about something good.

We just experienced the assassination of a well known Godly man, Charlie Kirk. That was definitely an act of evil … a true tragedy, but you know it has already brought much good about. And not just here is the U.S., but all over the world.

Many years ago in our church in Auburn, Indiana we had a church elder just suddenly die quite unexpectedly. He was young and in good health so they performed an autopsy on his body to determine the cause of death. They found nothing. It was determined that his heart just simply stopped beating. He was well known and respected by a lot of people. A memorial service was planned. Because a large number of people were expected to attend arrangements were made with another church much bigger than ours to hold the memorial service there. Like Charlie Kirk, this man was not only well known but stood for the truth. Everybody knew where he stood. He shared God’s Word everywhere he went. Our pastor had the challenge to answer the question on everybody’s mind … why did he die? He had a loving devoted wife and young daughter that needed him. He was a great church elder … a very spiritual person. The large crowd was gathered. Our pastor had sought God for the answer to that question … one of the most difficult messages he had to prepare. It was known that this man was totally committed to God and had told God to use his life however He wanted to … that he was willing to give his life to bring others to Jesus. Our pastor put together a short 3 or 4 point message which answered the question … why. The church building was packed full. The gospel of Jesus was shared that day and the death of this one man resulted in bringing many hundreds forward for salvation and/or re-dedication of their lives unto Jesus.

Our church elder only affected the lives of people in our immediate area whereas Charlie Kirks life is affecting lives all over the world. Just one man sold out to God … serving God can make such a huge impact on others.

I don’t feel I have answered my question as to why God allows evil. I am sure there are various reasons such as I have just talked about. But the simplest answer is that in His love for us He created us with free will. We can choose what we will do in our lives. Certainly He could have created us so that we would only do the things He wants us to do, but then we would be His robots … preprogrammed to obey Him. Sadly some people choose evil. The good news is that we all must answer to our Creator, Jesus Christ. No one is going to get away with what they have done. Well, that is the answer to the question. The battle between good and evil is ongoing. Satan is real and he is powerful. God is real too and is more powerful. And in the end Satan will be totally defeated! And that day is not far off.

WE NEED ALWAYS TO REMEMBER … THOSE WHO ARE OF THE KINGDOM OF DARKNESS HATE THE LIGHT … AS IT EXPOSES THEM.

Jesus said , I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE. NO ONE COMES TO GOD THE FATHER WITHOUT COMING THRU (by way of) ME. Sin is the problem. What are you doing to resolve it? There is only one thing God will accept.

Also remember that EVIL TRIUMPHS WHEN GOOD MEN FAIL TO SPEAK OUT WITH THE TRUTH.

HELL IS NOT FULL OF PEOPLE GOD REJECTED. IT IS FULL OF PEOPLE WHO REJECTED GOD.
