Have you ever had your eye poked by someone’s finger or by some object … maybe a tree branch? Needless to say it can really hurt and can do damage. I don’t think anyone appreciates getting poked in the eye. We laughed at the three stooges when they did it, but in real life it isn’t funny at all.

God is the same way. He doesn’t like getting poked in the eye either. You might be thinking and even want to ask what I am talking about all the while saying to yourself “How can anyone poke God in the eye?”.

The Holy Scriptures refer to the nation of Israel as “the apple (or center) of God’s eye” and tells us that anyone who comes against, stands against or even thinks wrongly toward Israel is poking their finger in God’s eye.

I don’t know about you but I can’t think of anyone more than God I want to avoid getting and being on the wrong side of. I mean we are talking about Someone Who can cause the very ground we stand on to open up and swallow us. He has done it before and He will do it again.

Individuals as well as nations have messed with Israel and regretted it. Several nations no longer exist after messing with Israel. Others are only a fraction of what they once were.

There are some nations which will soon join their militaries together to come against Israel. Israel is a nation of superior military strength, but she can not stand against overwhelming opposition with modern day powerful lethal weapons such as these military coalitions will assemble. Their goal is to once and for all totally wipe out Israel. They are confident they will succeed, but they are in for a big surprise. Their armies will be wiped out … totally annialated … not by Israel, but by God. The King James translation of the bible says that 1/6 of the Russian army will be spared but this is an error in translation (there are many errors in translation in the KJV of the bible … all newer translations have corrected this.)

God has told us (Genesis 12:3) that there is blessing to be had when we have the right attitude toward Israel. He also tells us that those who do not have the right attitude toward Israel are cursed of God. What is your position concerning Israel? Do you fully support Israel or are you against Israel … even in your thinking? Do you do what you can to bless Israel or do you stand against her? Are you guilty of poking your finger in God’s eye? You better watch out … God doesn’t like it when anyone pokes Him in the eye. He will most likely “getcha”! Watch where you walk as the ground may open up and swallow you.
