On the Weather Channel I have been seeing a news video advertised about the moon changing its orbit and slowly moving further away from the earth. The concern of scientists is that in time we will lose our moon although they say it won’t happen. Is that possible? What would it be like? Evil loves darkness and we would likely see a great increase in crime.

Matthew 24:29 says “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not provide its light, and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.” Hmmm … Could it be that this is shaping up … that it really is happening?

Scripture also say that God will destroy this present earth and heavens and later replace them with a new earth and heavens.

All of this is prophesied, folks, and much more. But first the Great Tribulation will happen … a 7 year long period when God will pour out His wrath on those who have rejected Christ’s salvation. It is this 7 year long period that is referred to in Matthew 24:29. Tribulation simply means a time of trouble.

He will also deal with Israel and bring her back to Himself when they finally recognize and acknowledge that Jesus is their long awaited Messiah and cry out to Him.

Actually it is only the second half of the 7 year long period which is known as the Great Tribulation. The first half is simply the Tribulation. People can still get saved during the 7 year period, but it will cost them their lives as they will be beheaded.

THE GREAT ESCAPE!

Nobody in their right mind would choose to go thru this 7 year period and beyond when Jesus pours out His wrath on sinful man. (I haven’t even got into what all is prophesied before Jesus actually returns to set up His government.) The salvation Jesus offers is called “good news”. And it is just that! Everything else I have talked about thus far is bad news. Those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior will be spared His anger. He will remove His people from the earth before all this begins. And that time is very near. We know this because of the bible prophecy being fulfilled. There are no more prophecies that must be fulfilled for this event to happen. The event is known as the “Rapture of the Church”. It is when millions of people will suddenly disappear off of the face of the earth. Jesus will do this because He has told us that His children are not appointed to His wrath. When it happens you can bet that the Fake News people will come up with some sort of a lie to explain where all these people disappeared to. Remember that in the end times there will be many who call evil good and good evil. Therefore it is likely that the Fake News people say that all these people were evil and they have been removed from among us for the betterment of mankind.

Right now you, the reader, have a choice. You can choose the salvation Jesus alone offers … or … you can continue on in your sins and face the consequences of that choice. What will you do with Jesus? Someday your heart will be asking … what will Jesus do with me? That is answered in God’s Word. We are all hellbound unless we repent and come to God thru Jesus. Heaven or hell … it is your choice. You will only have yourself to blame if you end up in hell.
