IS IT ALL EVE’S FAULT?

Many believe that sin entered the world when Eve took a bite out of the forbidden fruit. But did it? Sin entered the world prior to that when Lucifer rebelled against God in heaven. The devil came to Eve in the form of a serpent and lied to her. She believed the devil as she was deceived. So she did not bring sin into the world. Adam was not deceived. He knowingly knew what they were doing was wrong and was rebellion against God. He did it to please his wife. So it would have been him, not Eve, that would have brought sin into the world if Lucifer hadn’t already done so. Anyway, sin is in the world and we are all guilty of it.. And it is a serious matter. God hates sin and can not and will not allow it in His presence. We may be thinking but sin is enjoyable and we may not be willing to give it up. I have good news for you. You don’t have to give up sin. If sin is what you want God will let you have as much of it as you want. But sin is costly. It will cost you what is the most important thing in your life … your eternal soul … for the wages of sin is eternal damnation of your eternal soul. God has warned us of this. He does not want to see anyone perish. When He is rejected it breaks His heart.

He has so very much to offer us but only if we are willing to stop sinning. Many are called but few are chosen. The bible says that it is a narrow path that leads to God in heaven but it is a broad superhighway to the Lake of Fire everybody is traveling on. Someone added ‘that should give you an understanding of the anticipated traffic on each’. Whoever wrote that meant it as a joke … comedy … but there is nothing funny about it. It is very real and when this life is over your choice is over. There is no more opportunity to change your choice. It is a done deal which you alone made and are responsible for. Like the children shown in the images above you can respond to God’s love and provision or you can be like the one boy rejecting it and going on the multitudes shuffling along that superhighway leading to eternal damnation.

We can choose God and His salvation He alone offers. Here is some help …

Did you pray that prayer above? If you did and if you are sincere God heard your prayer and saved you. I say that to you on the authority of God’s Word. You may or may not have felt anything … experienced anything happen. Some people do and some don’t. Don’t worry about that right now. If you prayed that prayer you now need to take The Next Step.

God has a plan for your life. He won’t leave you as He found you. He wants us to follow Him, to learn of His ways, to live our lives in a way that pleases and glorifies Him. As you do you will grow and mature in Him understanding His ways and His thoughts. God first loved us and demonstrated His love on Calvary where He willingly died in our place taking our punishment upon Himself to buy our forgiveness and salvation. He did that while we were still sinning against Him making us His enemies. It is His love that we find attractive … it attracts us to Him.

As to reading God’s Word daily I highly recommend that you use a version of the bible that is easy for you to understand. Perhaps you can start off reading a modern day paraphase such as the Living Bible. Later switch to a translation such as the New American Standard Bible or the English Standard Version. Thank God for His love and His Word every day. Thank Him for saving you. Learn to thank Him for and in everything. Remember … when you don’t understand the things that are going on in your life … believe that He is up to something good in your life. He can bring good out of anything that is bad. Don’t give up on God. He won’t give up on you.

Find a church to be a part of … a church that teaches and preaches the bible. There are not that many out there that do anymore so be careful. Certainly pray about it and ask God to lead you and guide you to the church where he wants you to be. Be very careful in this for the devil wants to deceive you and lead you astray. Stay humble and learn to allow God to work in your life and heart. Allow Him to love others thru you. Be faithful to where God has called you. Learn how God has gifted you and faithfully use that gift in service in the church and elsewhere as God leads you. Learn to be a blessing unto others. Enjoy the new life in Christ. He came to set you free from the bondage of sin. If you got saved then you are a brand new creation in Jesus. The old things are passed away. Behold everything is new. He started a work in your life which He promised to complete.
