Have you ever listened to a powerful testimony? Do you know anyone who has one? Have you ever had one yourself? I have posted some on this website before. One of them I learned of back in 1979 from the family that experienced it. During the infamous blizzard of 1978 this rural family experienced a true personal miracle … not just once … but each day until the need was overwith. They lived rather old fashioned using a wood burning cook stove meaning they were dependent upon firewood. They kept their firewood neatly stacked out in the back yard some distance away from the house so they didn’t have to deal with insects from the wood pile coming into their house. The snow storm deposited several feet of snow on the ground making it impossible to see the wood pile. They desperately needed the firewood … not only for cooking … but to heat their home. They had only a small amount of firewood inside the house so that meant they needed to be able to get to that wood pile. But how? … the snow was 6 foot deep and much higher in places. They were desperate so they had to start shoveling. Have you ever shoveled snow that was deeper than you are tall? I have. It is quite an undertaking. It takes not only a lot of effort, but a lot of time. Time they didn’t have as they needed wood soon … to heat their house even if they had to go awhile without cooking. So they did two things … 1) prayed and 2) started shoveling. It was going to take a few days to shovel a path to the wood pile. All the wood had been stacked up neatly, but God performed a miracle. Each day they uncovered enough individual pieces of firewood laying on the ground … just enough for their daily needs of both heating and cooking. Those pieces of wood were not on the ground before. Even if it could be explained as to how they got onto the ground they would not have been that far from the wood pile … right exactly located on the path they were making. There was no explanation for it. God did it! God supernaturally provided for their daily need.

I have had my own miracles which I have previously written about. Of course, lots of testimonies are available on YouTube. When Jesus was on earth He performed hundreds … perhaps thousands … of miracles. Yet evil hearted men who were the religious leaders continually prodded Him to do miracles to prove Himself to them. But He knew their motives trying to entrap Him and always outmaneuvered them.

People are interesting. Even people whom Jesus had won over turned against Him when the time came for Him to be crucified. The crowd yelled out “Give us the convicted thief, Barabbas … “Crucify Him”! Bible prophecy proclaimed that Jesus would be despised and rejected by men … those whom He had created would not accept Him as the long waited for Messiah (Savior).

What about you? Are you part of that crowd rejecting Him and wanting Him dead? Or do you recognize Him for Who He is … God in the form of a man Who came to earth to dwell among men and sacrifice His very life to save you from hell? We all have that decision and choice to make … to accept Him or to reject Him. Salvation is a limited time offer. It expires when we do. We only have one chance at it. When this life is over we will face Jesus in judgement. There are only two choices and only two things in life to worry about.
