I am 79 now … getting up there. I have a younger brother who told me recently that he has my Mad Magazine collection from my teenage years. I had no idea what happened to them. I just assumed they disappeared while I was in the Navy. I did not follow Mad Magazine after I left home and served in the Navy. I know the magazine continued on for a number of years before calling it quits. Anybody else out there near my age and grew up reading Mad magazine? If so do you remember anything about them? Is there any one which stand out in you head more than another? I remember the one issue which poked fun of the automotive tailfins of the late 1950s and 60s. I have tried to find it online, but haven’t had any success. I can remember some of the cartoons showing exxagerated tail fins sticking out dangerously … clipping off road sign posts as the cars passed by. Garages were built with areas of the side made so that they accommodated the tailfins.
Ah yes, those were the good ol’ days! And then there was the comedy movie by the same name. It was a classic with nearly everybody known for comedy at that time starring in it. It has always been one of my favorites.

It was and is good clean comedy and full of laughs. As to Mad Magazine … even my elderly father got into it in his last years …
with a little help from me (via photo editing). Hey, a guy’s just gotta have a little fun. I realized that Mad Magazine was a bit controversial, but I enjoyed it. “Bumble Fumbled” in “Genefs” was another good story I remember.
Well, that enough nostalgia for now. I am just wondering if anyone else grew up reading and remembering any of this.
As to it being a mad world, it certainly is … and getting worse all the time. But again, that is prophesied in the holy scriptures. It is only going to get worse until Jesus sets up His government here on earth. My wife and I are presently going thru the book of Revelation reading all about what is coming when God pours out His righteous anger on sinful man. It is amazing reading how most will continue to live rebelliously and refuse to repent.

This man is known as one of the best bible teachers around. Sadly cancer took him from us very quickly.
