In this world we have rich men, poor men, successful people and bums, famous and unheard of, winners and losers, highly educated and poorly educated … just all sorts that make up the people of the world. In the very end we all have one thing in common. When we come to our end we are all viewed by God the same. We might have someone famous standing in line or some homeless beggar. We came into this world with nothing and we will leave it with nothing. It doesn’t matter what we have accomplished in life. All that will matter is what we have done with Jesus.

I was looking thru the obituaries this morning as I do most mornings. Someone said of a man who died that he earned his way into heaven. I immediately thought … No, he didn’t. If he is in heaven it is by God’s grace and mercy as we can’t do anything to merit it. Salvation is a free gift God offers us.Many believe they can earn it but that is not possible. We have nothing to offer God. He says that all of our righteousness is as filthy rags. All we can offer Him is our lives and that is all He wants. That is the one thing we have the more difficult time giving to Him. So again I am asking … what will/have you done with Jesus?
