I heard an old song today that I had never heard before. It was about something I doubt most of us never think of. We know according to God’s Word that Heaven is a real place and is located above us beyond what we know as outer space. We know it is where God the Father has His throne. We know it has streets paved with gold. And we know a few other things about it. God created it all.

However, there is one thing in Heaven that God did not make. Man made the one thing. Do you know what it is? Here Pat Boone sings about it …

Yes, only the scars on Jesus’ body are the only thing in Heaven made by man. He displays them proudly for all to see. Upon His arrival back in Heaven He showed those scars to His Father. It is said the innocent blood that Jesus shed on Calvary did not remain in the ground (the soil below the cross where it fell), but it was taken up into Heaven. That blood is so precious and so powerful. It is so unique. It is the only blood acceptable to the Father. All other blood is tainted … tainted with sin. Jesus was without sin so His blood was pure and qualified to save us.

Jesus laid down His life willingly. He allowed evil hearted men to beat Him and crucify Him. He had the power to stop them, but He chose not to in order to carry out His mission … to provide salvation for you and me. His Father had sent Him on this mission.

Scripture says that without the shedding of blood there is no remission (forgiveness) of sin. Jesus is the spotless Lamb … the one and only Sacrificial Lamb. His shed blood can and does cover a multitude of sin. We are all guilty and need His forgiveness and empowerment to be saved. Call on His Name … the Name which is above every name … while you can. Today is the Day of Salvation. Your tomorrow may never come. If you were to die in your sins your fate is sealed.
