THE PRODIGAL SON

Most of us have heard the bible story of the prodigal son. Have you ever known one? Are you one yourself? When I think of a prodigal son I think of Franklin Graham … Billy Graham’s youngest son. I never knew about his rebellious life until recently. I assumed he was always a faithful follower and servant of Jesus. However, this video tells a different story.

I can’t identify with any of this as I did not grow up in a Christian home. So I was not a prodigal son. I had no battle going on for my soul like Franklin did. That is not to say I did not have a battle for my soul going on. I did. We all do. But my battle was nothing like Franklin’s.

My mother was a church goer and when I was a young child she made me go to church with her. I hated going and by the time I was about 12 I was able to put up enough resistance and objection that my mom tired of dealing with me over it and I stopped going to church. All of the churches she took me to were “dead” churches anyway, so I did not get anything out of going. One was a Church of Christ and the other was a Methodist Church. Both were a case of the lost leading the lost. If you are interested in reading my testimony of how I got saved at 30 years old you can read about it HERE. Bible Prophecy was involved in my salvation.

What is it going to take for you to get saved? What will get your attention? What will wake you up? What will shake you up? What will convince you? The clock is ticking and time is running out. If nothing else, your time is running out. And once it does it will be too late to do anything about it. If you die in your sins, your fate is sealed. Now is the time to get saved. It is very dangerous to put off salvation. You could be dead two minutes from now. If that were to happen you will have no more opportunity to get saved.

This is serious! There is no more important thing in life. Eternity is a long long time to regret. Think about it … just not too long.
